WHAT IS A HIPERLAPSE VIDEO?

Hiperlaps is an exposure technique in time-lapse photography, in which the position of the camera is being changed between each exposure in order to create a tracking shot in timelapse sequences. In opposite to a simple motion timelapse – dolly shots, which are realized with short camera sliders; in hyperlapse photography, the camera is being moved through very long distances.
Like a stop motion, a Hyperlapse is recorded by a digital camera. The recorded frames are then merged to a video sequence in post-production. That is why the term is called "Stop-Motion Timelapse". In a Hyperlapse, the camera is mostly aimed at an exactly defined fixed point on which it rotates around, while the photographer careers along huge distances. In order to be able to realize long tracks without having a long rail and/or a Kamerawagon. The walks are mostly overcome by foot, with the camera set on a tripod. Therefrom the term "Walklapse". The single pictures are congruently aligned in post-production and merged together to a moving image. However, this workflow makes hyperlapsing a very painstaking exposure method
